Le dimensioni dell\u2019edificio aument\u00f2 notevolmente e fu costruito un camminamento sopraelevato per collegare l\u2019ex residenza reale, Palazzo Vecchio a Palazzo Pitti, attraverso gli Uffizi e Ponte Vecchio<span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">. Questo passaggio \u00e8 il famoso Corridoio Vasariano, che possiamo vedere in cima al Ponte Vecchio. Questo corridoio permetteva al Granduca (Medici) e alla sua famiglia di muoversi facilmente e in sicurezza tra la loro residenza ufficiale e Palazzo Pitti, in un'epoca in cui la famiglia non era del tutto ben accetta dal pubblico.
